Meet Our Executive Committee

Basileus Hodges, of Chicago, IL, was inducted in 2013 through Delta Xi Sigma Alumnae Chapter. She is the immediate past Tamiochus and a past Anti-Grammateus, and is passionate about Membership Development, Hattie McDaniel Breast Cancer Awareness, and advocating for youth through the sorority’s partnership with USA Swim, The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, and the Youth Symposium. She is a dedicated volunteer for the Illinois Center for Rehabilitation and Edcuation. Soror Hodges is a self-identified foodie learning Spanish and Braille.

Soror Copeland was the 1st member of the Denison University Colony in 1997, and Charter Member of the Iota Nu Sigma Alumnae Chapter in Worthington, Ohio. A member of the Delta Xi Sigma Chapter 2010 Reactivation Group and its 1st Chapter Basileus, Soror Copeland has served on the Central Region Board of Directors as a past National Programs Coordinator, Regional Anti-Grammateus, and Regional Elections Chair. She serves on the Central Region Minutes Review Committee. A mother of two school-aged girls, she volunteers as a Books & Breakfast tutor and is an alumna of the Evanston Community Foundation's Leadership Evanston. She is an advocate for Equity & Inclusion, having completed the SEED II seminar offered through School District 65. Soror Copeland is a freelance consultant and is the Development Director for Mudlark Theater - an arts education, and youth theater company. 

A graduate of Ferris State in Michigan, Soror Rachelle Swain joined Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority in the spring of 2018. She serves as the chapter's Anti-Grammateus (Secretary) and volunteers on the Budget and Finance Committee. In her work as the Advisor to our youth affiliate club, she ensures girls from 8 to 11 years of age are afforded the opportunities to build capacity for service, develop their self-esteem, and learn the makings for quality friendships. Soror Swain is an experienced advertisement specialist and certified in Google AdWords. She's a proud mom to a school-aged daughter and both are involved in the chapter's Rhosebud Club.

Advisor to the Rhoer Club - Damita Cravens

Soror Cravens is a Licensed Professional Counselor who joined the sorority at the Theta Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter in Oak Park, IL. She volunteers as a member of the City of Evanston's Mental Health Commission, Advocates For Action, as a Girl Scouts mom and promotes equity in education for each child, through the PTA and Books & Breakfast. In her work as the Advisor to our youth affiliate club, she ensures girls from 12 to 18 years of age are afforded the opportunities to build capacity for service, develop their self-esteem, and learn the makings for quality friendships. 

Chapter Chaplin - Cheryl Green

Soror Green serves as the chapter's Chaplin and is currently a PHD student at Chicago Theological Seminary. She has extensive experience in spiritual and administrative leadership and support in Christian and secular settings using proven gifts and skills of oran and written communication, teaching, pastoral care, and counseling. Soror Green currently manages her own nonprofit religious organization which advocates for and promotes Biblically just, ethical, and peaceful resolutions to inequalities and injustices found in the world's social, economic, environmental and educational systems. She assists individuals and groups in Biblical conflict resolution and/or mediation that moves towards forgiveness, which leads to peace and holistic hope and healing for all parties.
